Barwa Bank celebrates Qatar National Day

Doha, 23 December  2013–Barwa Bank employees gathered together to celebrate Qatar National Day, as part of the bank’s commitment towards Qatar and its people, during a special ceremony held at Barwa Bank Headquarters on Tuesday 17thDecember.

 As a local Shari’ah compliant bank, Barwa Bank management and employees felt that it’s crucial to express their collective sense of national pride and come together to celebrate what it means to live in Qatar. During the ceremony, employees were handed out Qatari flags and gifts to commemorate the heritage and traditions of the State of Qatar.

 Mr.Nasser Moh'd AlHajri, Chief Admin Officer Barwa Bank,commented on the occasion, “It is a privilege for us at Barwa Bank to contribute to The National Day celebrations and convey a message of solidarity, loyalty and pride on this glorious occasion. We look towards 2014 as a continuation of the growth and prosperity for the Bank as well as the continuing success and achievement enjoyed by this great country”.

 Mrs Fawzia Al-Abdulla, Head of Human Resources and Education in the Group emphasised the need to participate in the celebrations of Qatar National Day. She went on to discuss the bank’s desire to continue to attract Qatari talents and increase the Qatarization percentage in Barwa Bank in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.
