Barwa Bank Group to attract talented Qatari students and graduates to support its future expansion

Doha, 22/01/ 2014 – Barwa Bank Group, Qatar's fastest growing Shari’ah compliant banking service provider, recently participated in the Open Day, organised by the National Manpower Department at the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and attended by the Minister, HE Abdullah Saleh Mubarak al-Khulaifi.

 The Open Day was held to provide job opportunities to the largest number of job seekers from secondary school and university graduates, in addition to experienced Qataris.

 “Consistent with our policy of attracting and promoting Qatari talent, we are delighted to be involved in this event”, said Barwa Bank GroupCEO, Mr.Steve Troop.

 Mr.Nasser Al-Hajri, Group Chief Administration Officer, said the bank was keen to recruit more nationals. “Many Qataris now hold very senior leadership roles across the Barwa Bank Group and are performing extremely well.  Mrs. Fawziya Al-Abdulla Group Head Human Resources and Learning Manager saidBarwa Bank Group, in association with the Ministry of Labour, has a successful programme wherein young Qataris with a vocational commitment to banking are selected and then receive training at local universities and educational institutes.
